This year I am delighted to have been awarded the Jean Kent Prize of £300 for Artistic Merit, inaugurated at the 50th Open Exhibition in 2006, awarded to an outstanding work of art submitted by a Club Member. The prize was decided by consensus between the three exhibition selectors. The title of my charcoal piece is Shapwick Heath. My thanks go to all those behind the scenes at Clevedon Art Club for putting on such a great exhibition (again!), Sarah Boden for organising the selection process and selectors Sue Dean, Director of Lime Tree Gallery, Bristol, Tom Waugh RWA MRSS and Lucy Austin RWA.

The exhibition continues until 4pm Sunday 30th August. Always worth a visit for the variety and talent displayed (not to mention the delicious cakes and tea!). See poster below for more details. Hope to see you there.
