2) Saturday 5th July – a rather unique 1 day drawing and printing workshop.

In the morning I will take you through an exploration of tone, shape and composition, developing drawing techniques using pencil and charcoal and a still life set up as inspiration.

After lunch, using the mornings drawings you will translate them into drypoint prints using tools to etch and shade into the plate showing you how to create tone before inking up.  Claire will show you how to use the press to produce a small edition of prints to take away at the end of the day together with your plate and drawings.

This relaxed workshop welcomes beginners and improvers alike.

3) Saturday 19th July – Learn to Draw at the Avalon Marshes Centre, Shapwick Road, Westhay, Glastonbury, BA6 9TT.

Join me for this inspiring workshop learning how to draw three dimensional forms on the two-dimensional surface of your paper. By the end of the session you will have built the confidence to have a go at drawing almost anything!

Some fun warm-up exercises will get this session going before you have a go at drawing everyday objects and there will be some surprising hints and tips along the way. Perfect for beginners and improvers you will all go home with lots of sketches to hopefully inspire you further!
